Maddox is currently an assistant professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Brenau University, and since 2009 has had adjunct faculty positions and guest speaker roles at multiple institutions – including Georgia State University, Augusta University, University of North Georgia, and South College. Maddox is currently chair of the AAOMPT Education Committee and is actively involved in AAOMPT’s Program Director and Academic and Clinical Faculty Special Interest Groups. He remains an active member of the APTA and its Georgia chapter – where he currently serves as Awards Committee chair and has previously served as a Legislative Committee member, delegate, chief delegate, and board member. He is also a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy (OCS) and a certified Therapeutic Pain Specialist through the International Spine and Pain Institute.

Maddox completed OMPT Fellowship training with Evidence in Motion and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). He earned his doctorate in physical therapy from the Medical College of Georgia, and he is currently pursuing his Doctor of Science (DSc) degree through Bellin College. Daniel Maddox is the program director of Upstream Rehab Institute’s Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy and is lead faculty for URI Orthopaedic Residency and continuing education courses. Jennifer is primary faculty for URI’s The Wrist Complex: Evidence-Based Concepts in Wrist Rehabilitation course, and led development of the Hand Therapy Bootcamp and Introduction to Orthoses courses.ĭr. Her additional experience includes lecturing nationally for DeRoyal’s Orthotic Fitter course, earning a certification as a Kinesio Taping Practitioner, performing both corporate ergonomics and functional capacity evaluations, and working as a clinical specialist account manager for a DME company. Jennifer served as BenchMark Rehab Partner’s Georgia Hand Therapy Coordinator from 2014-2015. She joined BenchMark Rehab Partners in 2012 and continues her practice at the Canton, GA clinic.

Jennifer is a Certified AOTA Fieldwork Educator, an active member of the ASHT, AOTA, and has served as a board member of the Georgia Hand and Upper Extremity Special Interest Group (GHUESIG). She received her Masters of Occupational Therapy degree from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California, and has been a Certified Hand Therapist since 2002. Jennifer DeYoung is the Director of Upstream Rehab Institute’s Hand Therapy Fellowship and led its development beginning in 2016.
